If beta units are still available in the shop, feel free to grab one and help test the system out in the real world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Backstory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About a year ago, my wife, kids, and I moved out to a house in the country. The wildlife has been great \u2014 mostly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, country living also means mice and rats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the past year I\u2019ve ended up with traps scattered all over the place: the attic, crawlspace, utility room, garage\u2026 basically anywhere a rodent decided to explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The problem is that these aren\u2019t places I check every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And when you forget about a trap for too long, you usually discover it because something in the ceiling has started to smell like death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That was the motivation behind Mouse Minder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"803\" height=\"444\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mouseminder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mouseminder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1.png 803w, https:\/\/www.mouseminder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1-600x332.png 600w, https:\/\/www.mouseminder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1-300x166.png 300w, https:\/\/www.mouseminder.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1-768x425.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 803px) 100vw, 803px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">My very first prototype!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How It Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mouse Minder is a vibration-sensitive detector that clips onto standard snap traps (and even some live traps).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The device sits in an ultra low-power sleep mode and can remain on standby for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a trap snaps, the vibration wakes the Mouse Minder.
