Welcome To MouseMinder!

I’m glad you’re here.

What started as a simple idea for checking mouse traps somehow turned into my first real product.

Right now Mouse Minder is still in beta testing while I work through production details and gather feedback from early users. If beta units are still available in the shop, feel free to grab one and help test the system out in the real world.

Backstory

About a year ago, my wife, kids, and I moved out to a house in the country. The wildlife has been great — mostly.

Unfortunately, country living also means mice and rats.

Over the past year I’ve ended up with traps scattered all over the place: the attic, crawlspace, utility room, garage… basically anywhere a rodent decided to explore.

The problem is that these aren’t places I check every day.

And when you forget about a trap for too long, you usually discover it because something in the ceiling has started to smell like death.

That was the motivation behind Mouse Minder.

My very first prototype!

How It Works

Mouse Minder is a vibration-sensitive detector that clips onto standard snap traps (and even some live traps).

The device sits in an ultra low-power sleep mode and can remain on standby for years.

When a trap snaps, the vibration wakes the Mouse Minder. Once activated, it flashes an LED and sounds a buzzer for up to 8 days so you know exactly which trap was triggered.

No more mystery smells.
No more forgotten traps.
No more accidental ceiling soup.

The current revision of the Mouse Minder sitting on some PCBs ready to be integrated!

Thanks for Stopping By

I’m an engineer by day, and this entire project has been built from scratch nights and weekends as a learning experience and a passion project.

Thanks for checking it out and supporting a tiny hardware startup in its awkward early stages.
